Love and knowledge are the two principles which are considered to be most opposed to each other; each one of which destroys the other. This is supposed to be the spiritual teaching, but there's something wrong here. In the spirit, nothing conflicts, but all principles work harmoniously together, but it is in the spirit we are told the conflict exists. Let us look a little closer. Perfect love is perfect harmony. Perfect harmony is perfect awareness. Perfect awareness is perfect perception. Perfect perception is perfect knowledge. On the highest level, they are the same thing. In the spirit, nothing conflicts. May She be with you,
David.

David I might be able to accept the idea that within the Spiritual nothing conflicts. However I have to ask ask a question. Why do you say that it is commonly thought that love and knowledge are commonly believed to be in conflict? I have have heard a lot of ideas in my lifetime but I have certainly not heard that that idea is common. I can't even say that I have heard it expressed in a conversation at all though perhaps I have.
The other has to do with terms such as "perfect" love, "perfect" knowledge, "perfect" awareness. Perhaps in the perfect spiritual world of Thea knowledge, love, etc are perfect. In this world in which all living human beings live "perfection" seldom if ever exists. People are generally doing well of they just have a sufficient level of love, knowledge, or perception so that they can keep conflict to a reasonable level.

Glenn,
I have heard it commonly expressed that spiritual development consists in overcoming the intellect.
You can't find perfection in the world, but spiritual development consists is striving for perfection by reflecting spiritual principles which ae perfect.
May She be with you,
David.
