Regeneration falls on 22nd. Kerea, corresponding to 1st. August. It celebrates the Mysteries of Life and the source of all life in the Mother, the Creatrix. It is especially concerned with the cycles of existence through which all nature moves, and the passing from one life to the next. Its symbol is the ear of corn which falls to the ground to be reborn again.
This festival celebrates the Mother Who brings new life and the Daughter Who leads and protects all souls in moving from one life to the next. I this Mystery She is known as Our Lady of the Dark Gates.
Ears of corn and bread from the new wheat may be offered at the rite, together with any "first fruits" which are always offered to our Lady and not used.
