Dear friends,
The Day Of All Heras falls on 6th. Rosea, corresponding to 21st. December. A hera is someone who has attained spiritual perfection and freed herself from the wheel of birth and death. They are concerned with helping others to follow them and may take human form. On this day we honour them and resolve to follow them. This is the start of a short season devoted to contemplation, ending in Rosa Mundi, on the first new or full moon after the day of all Heras, this year on 10th. Rosea, corresponding to 225th. December for those on the Greenwich meridian. The full moon occurs at 5 13 am. For your own area allow four minutes for every degree of longitude, remembering that the Madrian day begins at dawn. During this period a single rose stands before the image of Our Lady.
May She be with you,
David.
