David, I have a couple of questions to ask you.
i hope you will be wiling to answer them. Based on The Coming Age and other literature which you have read what was the nature of the Madrian Genia? Did they believe in seven great planetary Genia in a manner similar to Aristasian belief? Were individual Genia described by name and function perhaps in a manner similar to the Aristasian Janya or in some differing manner? What else can you tell about them? I would be interested in know this.
Thank you
Glenn

Glenn,
A Genia is what souls were before we fell from perfection, and what those who never fell still are. What are called the Celestial Geniae are a particularly important set of Geniiae. They each have individual names and special attributes. These are :
Theia The sun An orange robe, either riding a lion or with a lion crouching at her feet.
Phoebe The moon A violet or silver robe, youothfull appearance
Tethys Venus water A green robe standing on the waves of the sea
Nike Mars fire A short red robe and wearing a laurel wreat
Themis Jupiter air a blue robe holding a lyre or scales
Rhea Saturn earth Indigo or black robe
Metis Mercury the quintessence seated in a meditation posture in a yellow robe

Davd, I am assuming that all of the information about the Madrian Geniae of which you speak, occurrs within The Coming Age. I have never seen much information about the Geniae within the Sacred Myths and Rites of the Madrians itself. Am I accurate here? Another question. Is the Sacred Myths and Rites of the Madrian compossed by Lux Madriana itself or were the various elements of the book collected by Philip Jackson himself?

Glenn,
The information I gave comes from a hand written copy of a Literary Circle paper which doesn't scan.

Hello Glenn, David posted this information, on the yahoo group, if I remember correctly. I kept it because, The Coming Ages rarely mentioned Genia, also when I was in the corrupted household the planetary Genia were rarely mentioned. I have been trying to discover as much as I can about the 7 Genia and Janyati. Madria Olga Lotar may have passed information from the other Madrian group to ArchMatrona Georgia, who passed it to ArchMadria Pamela.
Dear friends,
I thought this an appropriate time to give the Madrian correspondences for the Geniae.
Planet Genia Colour Metal Keynote Tonic Scale Virtue
Mars Nike red iron E Me courage
Sun Theia orange gold C Do generosity
Mercury Metis yellow mercury F Fa wisdom
Venus Tethys green copper A La love
Jupiter Themis blue tin G So faith
Saturn Rhea indigo lead B Te humility
Moon Phoebe violet silver D Re purity
Planet Gem Tree Creature Incense
Mars ruby holly wolf Jasmin, aloes, sulphur, tobacco.
Sun diamond birch lion saffron, myrrh, cloves, cinnamon.
Mercury opal hazel owl mastic, mace, storax, nutmeg.
Venus emerald apple dove rose, amber, patcholi, sandlewood.
Jupiter sapphire oak eagle balm, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon.
Saturn onyx alder crow civet, musk, aloes, brimstone.
Moon crystal willow deer frankincense, white sandlewood,
jasmine, copal, eucalyptus.
May She be with you,
David.

Dear Glenn, Philip Jackson must have obtained the booklet set (which I have) 1. The Creation & The Crystal Tablet, 2. The Mythos of The Divine Maid, 3. The Catechism of The Children Of The Goddess. The movement was open to all and the group which Clan Jana is derived from always was after the split into two groups.
This account of events in 1979 or 1980 is from Philip Jackson's autobiography A Perilous Path:
The other pursuit was Lux Madriana based in Oxford. It was run by two young ladies of around my age who produced a magazine called 'The Coming Age'. This was a more mystically inclined group, which fitted in with my interests in Carl Jung's analytical psychology, the works of Yeats, and the eastern religious philosophies of the Upanishads and Geeta. The girls were trying to get a select group together to follow a religion based on the Feminine Principal[sic]. I don't think there as [sic] been anything quite like it before or since.

Ruth, I have been working on another blog post and have been slow in responding to the posts here. Questions. It sounds like what you are saying about Philip Jackson's book is that he probably combined groups of writings which he received from Lux Madriana to create it. Am I understanding this correctly? Another question. Did you actually live within a Madrian community for a while? You seem to suggest that. Would you be willing to tell more about it? I would be fascinated to know more if that would be ok.

Hello Glenn, I think that Philip Jackson gathered Literary Group papers and the booklets mentioned into his book. The Madrians split into 2 groups. I lived for 18 months in Ireland at a corrupted household, it was for the most part not a good experience. This was the chaste (as in non sexual) all female household. It was becoming New Romantic and Aristasian then.
Although I have ptsd from this period of my life, I am less effected than even 1 year ago. Praise be to Dea.
Ask and I will try and answer as fully as I can. Sophia Ruth

Sophia Ruth, I am sorry for taking so long to get back to you. Thanks for helping me understand how Philip Jackson's book was developed. Now to your other statements. So are you saying that you lived for 18 months in a corrupted Madrian household? Was that at the St. Brides School with Miss Martindale, Priscilla Langridge and others or with another group? Would you be willing to say a bit about it. Since you have indicated that the experience was painful I would understand if you did not want to talk about it.
You indicate that the Madrians split into two groups. That is what Pamela Lanides believes as well. What do you know of the other group? Were you aware of that group at the time? I would certainly like to understand the history of this thing better than I do now. Note. I am very glad that you have been recovering gradually from the negative consequences of your time there.
