Dear friends,
The Buddha's attainment of enlightenment has the wonderful result of making known the principles of spiritual development by which we are able to make the spiritual progress necessary to attain enlightenment, using those methods gained from having attained enlightenment. This has the staggering result that, after his enlightenment, meditation ceased to be unknown, but the Buddha was so dedicated he decided to try it anyway.
May She be with you,
David.

Dear friends,
When I composed my previous message, I wondered if it would be offensive to Buddhists, but I decided it did not relate to the Buddha himself, but only the methods employed. After reflection, I realised that they came quite close mocking the Buddha, and in the eyes of Buddhists, I have committed sacrilege. I am sorry for the offence I caused. I also realised that the style of writing is a cheapening of the level of debate.
I have learnt a lesson that I have spent my life avoiding to learn. The reason for cultivating a sense of humour is to become popular, but, if this is not tempered with sensibility, it makes you unpopular.
May She be with you,
David.
